At the end of April 2023, Brodoto was hosted by professor Krešimir Dabo, Ph.D., a senior lecturer at the Department of Tourism and the Department of Communications at Edward Bernays University College of Applied Sciences. The purpose of the visit was to present the concept of crowdfunding to students, as well as the results of the Erasmus MORE project (as a multiplier event), which aims to develop an educational program for youth workers. This program is designed to enable them to get relevant competencies and skills in education, training, project writing, digital skills etc.

One of the highlights, or the focus of the event, was the presentation of the crowdfunding courses. The attendees were given an introduction to crowdfunding and its potential benefits for youth work and youth initiatives. The presentation also covered the role of communication skills in crowdfunding and how social entrepreneurship can be promoted through campaigning, as the students' main focus of study is communication. We presented tons of examples of how crowdfunding can help young people kickstart their ideas in tourism. We hope we motivated some to enter the journey themselves.
