The Impact Innovation hackathon invited participants from various backgrounds - economics, humanities, AI, blockchain, (social) entrepreneurship, corporates, CSOs and many others to collaborate and create innovative approaches to various social and ecological issues. Brodoto provided a platform to mix different hobbies or expertise with a diverse set of participants, to generate sustainable solutions, to mingle, create new ideas, new friends and business opportunities.

Event details:

An intense three-hour session where around 40 participants were be grouped into interdisciplinary teams to brainstorm and develop their ideas. The hackathon was designed to create innovation through collaboration, to explore new solutions that could lead to real-world applications. The hackathon is powered by Brodoto, and is part of LEAP summit 2024 and an Erasmus+ funded project “The Present for the Future”, also involving social entrepreneurs from Denmark and Netherlands.

The event followed a design thinking process: understanding the challenge, defining the problem, brainstorming solutions, and creating prototypes.

Each team then pitched their prototype to the group, with participants voting on the best solution. The event wrapped up with networking opportunities, allowing for further discussion and collaboration.
